The goal of this course is for students to become familiar with psychological processes. Specifically the course shall enable students to describe and analyze psychology as scientific inquiry, list and describe fundamental theories of human development and its application in learning, explain various types of learning approaches, examine the development of language and its function in concept formation and school learning. Lastly, students will be familiarized and exposed to educational needs of special children and how students’ memory is stimulated and maintained

This course introduces students to the basics of computers. It will cover the basic information about computer hardware, using the operating system, word processing and an introduction to web browsing, web mail and spreadsheets.

Data analysis using specific statistical packages is of great importance in professions dealing with research. Experience shows that there is a great demand, especially among individuals conducting research and those working in various business environments, let alone undergraduate students analyzing data during write up of their dissertations. Therefore, this course is going to equip students with necessary skills in Data Analysis using various data analysis packages like Spreadsheet, PSPP and/or SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences)
